Category listings¶
The category listings in Voyado Elevate are based on sophisticated product lifecycle analysis, customer behavioral insights, exposure strategies, merchandising actions such as promotions or demotions, as well as business domain knowledge. All these elements are part of the Voyado Elevate product listing relevance arena.
In addition to a powerful product listing, category listings also support sorting as well as faceting for more focused results.
Facets¶
Facets are used to allow visitors to filter and narrow down the products in a category listing. Facets can be ordered by relevance, alphabetically, or natural (sorting where consecutive digits are counted as "numbers", e.g. 2-pack
is sorted before 10-pack
). The facets to display, and the order of the facets, are configured in the Default settings section of the Settings tab in the Experience app.
To reduce clutter and irrelevant filter options for the visitor, only facets and facet values that are relevant to the category will be shown, i.e. contextual facets. For example, a visitor browsing a category for shoes is only interested in size values for shoes and not sizes for other types of products.
Sorting¶
The default sort order of Voyado Elevate is Relevance
. This applies to all built-in product listing and ranking logic to produce the most relevant results. Further options are however available to users, this includes Newest first
, Price High to Low
, Price low to high
, Discount
, and if available in the data feed, Rating
and Name
.
The default sorting options to display and the order of the options can be configured in the Default settings section of the Settings tab in the Experience app. It is highly recommended to keep Relevance
as the default sort order.
